NC A&T head coach Will Jones said he hoped the interactions will teach the players about things bigger than basketball.
“We were trying to get our guys to be disciplined in their school work, how to handle their business in the day-to-day, and then discipline on the floor,” Jones said. “So having the opportunity for two individuals that achieve at the highest level in their fields — I think it’s important to show them if you continue to do what you do and be good at it, they have a chance to be successful themselves.”
